One hundred years since its introduction neon remains at the forefront of the sign industry. One of the main reasons for this is the A.C.E. principal of signage, which is this:
A - Attention
A good sign has to get your attention or you are not going to see it. Neon signs, because the emit bright light and color, attract much more attention than any other type of sign.
C - Communication
A good sign quickly delivers the message to the viewer. Neon signs are readable from a much greater distance than any other type of sign.
E - Entertainment
A sign that can entertain the viewer can do a better job at getting attention and communicating the message. Neon is entertaining by itself and can be made much more entertaining by the imagination of the designer.
